worried...

Just some thought about being in the Advanced Placement English class....
I know my English level is not as good as the rest of my classmates. I feel pressured to speak in front of them. When reading hard materials like Baldwin essay, I wonder if other classmates understand the essay. I usually assume they understand least 50% of it and therefore I question my own English ability quite often.
In short, I guess I'm not confident enough to sit in that class. Although Ms. Galland always cheers me up, I still feel worried. :-(
It's only the start of the school year.... hope by the end of my senior year, I will, at least, get used to college-level work!!!

Tina, don't worry! AP is meant to be hard... Don't question your English ability, I think your English is great! If your English isn't great, you wouldn't be in this class in the first place, right? :)

You're doing great! Don't worry, it is pretty hard stuff... :/
加油! (Okay, I dunno if that was allowed, but I couldn't think of a word with the same meaning in English.. It is a personal blog entry, not school related.. so excuse the Chinese!)

Thank gosh I don't speak Chinese, so I don't know what Kassy wrote. (:)

The stuff we are doing is HARD, Tina. I think everyone finds it so. You are doing a fantastic job, and I really can't tell you how much I enjoy having you in the class and reading your assignments.

Don't worry, you're not the only one~

I struggle in AP English too. When we were reading Stranger in a Village, I had to read and re-read the same paragraph 3-4 times, and even then I wasn't sure if I understood it all.

I think it's safe to say that all the students in our class find the essays we're reading challenging to some extent (except maybe Aled... his intelligence is at a level I can't comprehend XD).

Dakara, ganbaro!!

Thanks people! I'm really trying to learn more by challenging myself, that's why I choose to stay in this class.
